Where have I been???.

Oh hey there.

How is everyone?

What have I missed?

Where the heck have I been?

Ok so let me answer your question first. Some of you might know, but for those who don't, there is an exciting reason I was MIA for the last two weeks. This week however, hasn't been exciting at all (see next post for that explanation).

Last week and the week before, I was setting up an actual REAL LIFE SPACE. So now I have a physical presence as well as online.

For all you Melbournites, (ex Melbournites) who remember the Caribbean Market, that's where it is. Caribbean Market was iconic and opened in the 1970's. So many people were devastated when it closed down on July 1st 2020. So when I was tagged in a post on Facebook about the old site and an exciting new opportunity, nostalgia made me investigate immediately.

Long story short, 2.0 Vintage Market is an exciting new shopping experience. It is made up of two sections. The Pavilion is where there are permanent stalls set up. This is where you'll find Well Oil Bee. Then there's a separate area for the pop up market stalls on Saturday and Sunday. The beauty (and also a risk I guess) is that we don't have to man our stalls. Each of our products are labelled with our stall number and priced and this is taken up to the front counter. The staff keep all our tickets until the end of the month, take out their 10% commission, our rent and then deposit the rest into our accounts.

So take a look at my own little "shop". I worked super hard over only two weeks to get it looking the way I imagined it to be in my head.

The Pavilion is open

Monday to Friday 10:00am - 5:00pm

Saturday and Sunday 8:00am-5:00pm

The Market stalls are open

Saturday and Sunday 8:00am - 2:00pm

I will be there on one of the weekend days and some times during the week. It all depends on children and whether or not they are well. See my next post as to where I have been this week and why I haven't been able to go back in to check my stock.
